TutorOne is currently looking for an in-person tutor to teach Grade 5 English for Special Needs Student: Reading/Comprehension

It is imperative that our tutors are able to customize their teaching style to suite the individual requirements of the student at hand. Our students may have any of the following exceptionalities:

• Auditory and Visual Processing Disorders
• Non-Verbal Learning Disabilities
• Language Based Learning Disabilities
• Deafness/ are Hard of Hearing
• Blindness/ are Partially Sighted

Responsibilities

• 3-10 hours of weekly commitment
• Availability for in-person lessons.
• Maintain a predictable schedule that may include evenings and weekends for clients.
• Candidate must be willing to do a criminal background check.

Qualifications:

• Fluent English speaker (required).
• Experience teaching students with special needs.
• Experience working with children and adolescents.
• A degree or diploma in some area of education, social work, health, wellness or autism support.
• Access to a car is an asset (for in-home applicants).
• Bachelor's degree or higher is a requirement.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professionalism & reliability.
