Envie Student is looking for a Full Time Lead Housekeeper (one year contract) for our residential building on Preston Street - Ottawa, ON. Under the direction of the General Manager, and supervision of the Housekeeping Manager, the Housekeeper is responsible for performing cleaning duties and routines that will provide a pleasant and safe environment to live and work in.

This individual provides a high standard of cleaning service according to corporate policies and procedures and current legislative requirements, and has daily interactions with residents. This position requires an individual with the ability to react appropriately to unexpected situations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains a clean, safe environment.
• Work collaboratively as part of the team.
• Clean, dust and vacuum Tenants’ suites.
• Clean, dust and vacuum common areas and public washrooms.
• Perform deep cleaning of suites when they are vacated.
• Keep housekeeping cart cleaned, organized and stocked.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications Required:

• High school or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills. Must have the ability to speak, read and write English, and to follow oral and written directions. Ability to learn and apply basic skills through on-the-job training.
• Ability to self-regulate and work independently.
• Ability to co-operate with others.
• Have a clean PRC (Police Record Check) or the ability to obtain one.
