Moutcha Bay Resort is a remote destination dedicated to sustainable adventure tourism, located 2 hours west of Campbell River on Vancouver Island by road. We host guests from around the world and love to share our passion for saltwater sportfishing and other outdoor adventures.
Who you are:
- You have at least 2 years of hotel front desk experience
- You are an enthusiastic and positive "people person"
- You have a high level of emotional intelligence
- You are flexible and able to multi-task
- You are tech-savvy and proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- You have excellent problem-solving and communication skills
What you’ll be doing:
- You'll train, manage, schedule, supervise, and mentor the guest services department and staff
- You'll monitor inventory and order supplies
- You'll be checking in/out guests
- You'll be taking reservations
- You'll be maintaining guest records and financial statements
- You'll be processing payments for reservations, incidentals, and gift shop
- You'll be relaying guest information to various departments (dock shack, housekeeping, fish processing, restaurant)
- You'll be handling guest feedback in a friendly and professional manner
- You'll be helping to create memorable guest experiences
Working with us:
This position has an anticipated start date of May 8 and end date of October 7, 2023. Contract length is subject to change based on the demands of the season.
Meals and staff accommodation are included in the employment package!
Schedule:
- Full Time
- 8 hours per day
- Excess hours will be banked as paid time off in lieu at straight time for all supervisory and managerial positions
