General Manager – Quality Sound Alarm:
Quality Sound Alarm provides complete monitoring and communication systems for properties throughout Atlantic Canada. Backed by over 30 years of experience, we offer a variety of services including installations, inspections, testing, verification, repair and maintenance work on fire alarm systems, access control, security systems, sound masking, PA systems and nurse call systems.
Quality Sound Alarm has an exciting career opportunity available. We are seeking a General Manager to join our team.
As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the business. The Operations Manager will lead and collaborate with the office team and technicians to continue the growth of the business.
The Duties:
· Oversee all jobs & projects for the company.
· Responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the business
· Manage Projects and Team schedule
· Delegate tasks accordingly to Team Members
· Control inventory costs
· Control labour and operating costs
· Coordinate Technicians and Teams that may be distributed across multiple locations sites, provinces, and disciplines
· Forge strong relationships with Vendors, Customers and Team Members to ensure efficiency across all aspects of the project
· Work closely with Office Staff and Technicians to understand project requirements
· Responsible for independent project decisions related to scope, schedule, and budget
· Regularly update Customers and Team members on project status
· Ensure continued growth and success of the business
Attributes & Qualifications:
· Related diploma/degree or equivalent in a technical or business discipline
· Minimum five (5) years relevant industry experience with at least three (3) years of Management experience or proven technical leadership
· Knowledge of electrical and construction industry
· Highly organized, able to balance various projects and priorities to get things done
· Excellent leadership skills, ability to work in fast-paced environment
· A clear communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills
· Able to resolve conflict, solve problems, think, and act on the fly
· Proven track record managing large projects and people.
