The Opportunity
We are looking for a strategic problem solver who will work alongside the FX Product Team in finding ways to quickly deliver innovative products to the market. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for ensuring our products meet the established standards of quality, assist the FX Product Team in managing project deliverables, bridging the gap between technology and our lines of business and clients, and overall, contribute to the goal of expanding our current customer base and further developing our SaaS platform as a core product.
The Product team at Derivative Path focuses on implementing the technology vision of the firm, working closely with the executive team, our lines of business, and clients. At Derivative Path, we lead with technology making this an important, visible role.
What You’ll Do
- Assist the FX Product team in tracking project deliverables by logging issues or new functionality in a clear and concise manner.
- Identify dependencies, critical path items on project plan to help ensure timely delivery of development efforts.
- Work with the FX Product and Development teams to test application functionality, reports, databases, and processes to help in accomplishing stated business needs in the most efficient way possible.
- Gathering, evaluating, and analyzing business needs for new and existing initiatives to support an expanding client base.
- Work with the Product team during the development of business requirements development to create a comprehensive test plan.
- Assist in the development of test cases, test results, implementation, and deployment plans.
- Maintain and execute test plans for regression, new functionality, stress testing.
- Work closely with business partners (Sales, Operations, Client Success Team, and our clients) in understanding their ideas and partner with the FX Product team to translate into requirements.
- Assist in the product-related items (project managing implementation timelines, managing configurations related to onboarding clients, coordinating onboarding efforts with 3rd parties) to onboard a new customer.
- Suggest improvements or enhancements to processes and platform to increase customer satisfaction and improve productivity.
Who You Are
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Experience in product management with an FX role
- Strong logical and analytical skills
- Effective analysis of problems and potential solutions
- Experience with low latency applications and or trading applications a plus
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with senior managers and clients
- Proven ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Familiar with Agile software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Understanding how electronic FX pricing is structured, presented and filled, along with an understanding of business rules related to cross-border settlements.
- 1+ years of business system analysis or design experience
- knowledge of QA tools, concepts and methodologies. Experience with test automation a plus.
- 1+ years of experience in the capital market, investment, or treasury banking industry
- Highly motivated self-starter who solves problems with a business and customer-centric view
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office, Confluence, Jira, using API message sets, QA applications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 1-3 years relevant business/finance experience.
- Certifications an advantage including Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma
- Agile certifications and/or training
