At SMS Equipment, our Equipment Finance Representative is tasked with providing financing solutions to customers, managing finance paperwork, and attending customer meetings within Western Canada. We are looking for a candidate who will bring their knowledge of finance and influential personality to our Acheson team!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Sales Promotion. Promote the sale of Komatsu, BOMAG, Takeuchi and other equipment products through attractive financing solutions. Develop and build a network of contacts within the equipment financing community. Prepare financial documents for customers.
• Sales Support. Coordinate finance applications and contracts with financial institutions. Manage the equipment finance process to completion. Liaise with internal and external departments and educate sales representative on customer finance and lease options. Provide educational seminars to sales regarding existing and changing finance programmes.
• Sales Manager Support. Assist the regional sales manager with finance options for large equipment packages as required. Provide support in closing deals and monitor sales activity from quoting to point of sale. Assist with review and analysis of financing aspects of sales quotes as required.
• Travel to western branches to meet with customers and facilitate equipment sales through presentations. Be readily available to discuss finance requests with sales group and customers including evenings and weekends as necessary.

Qualifications:

This position requires a minimum of 5 years of credit and / or finance experience along with a post-secondary education in a related field. This role interacts with internal and external customers and strong customer service skills are critical. Other requirements include, but are not limited to:

• Demonstrated experience in preparing financing documentation
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast paced, multi-project, dynamic environment
• Must be an organized individual and self-motivated
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills
• Proficient computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office, TValue, etc.)
• Ability to travel throughout Western Canada with a valid drivers licence
