We are seeking highly motivated and customer focused individuals for the position of a Boom Operator (0 to 8 ton)/ DZ Delivery Driver. The successful applicant(s) will demonstrate excellent customer service skills, personal safety responsibility, equipment care and reliability.

The Role

Our DZ Delivery Drivers effectively and safely deliver products to customers in one of our 7 service areas in an efficient and timely manner and provide assistance to the overall day-to-day operations of the facility as a key member of the Gibson family.

The successful candidate will be delivering roofing materials and related construction products throughout our service area. We use a combination of flat decks, crane trucks, booms, and manual labour to place the materials in the areas that our customers require them.

The Duties/Responsibilities

· Uphold Gibson’s Health & Safety policies and programs including safe operation of all equipment

· Build and nurture customer relationships

· Complete scheduled deliveries to customers in a safe and efficient manner

· Complete daily inspections of delivery vehicles and accurately maintain logbooks

· Communicate effectively with other team members to complete daily and weekly goals

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, and Experience:

· Enjoys working in a physically demanding and fast pace environment

· A valid DZ license is required

· Clean CVOR and Drivers Abstract is required

· At least 2 years of Delivery experience is required

· Boom/Crane Truck experience is an asset

· Building supply experience an asset

Physical Conditions

· Combination of driving and physical labour

· Safely lift up 80 lbs

· Lifting, pushing, pulling and bending required

Schedule

· Monday to Friday

· 10 hours shifts

· 6am – 3pm typically

· Year round work

· Occasional Weekend work
