What YOU Will Do

As a result of Pomerleau’s continued growth, the legal team is seeking a dynamic and experienced consultant in claims preparation and management and dispute resolution. This initiative is part of its objective to develop and implement a new expertise in the company’s practice.

As a member of the legal team, you can expect:

• To be able to capitalize on Pomerleau’s image in the construction industry and benefit from a fast-growing environment to develop a new internal practice.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze contracts and determine changes
• Examine scheduling
• Review and analyze project documents, including technical documents
• Calculate the cost of changes/damage to materials, equipment and labour
• Analyze project overhead costs

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering in a relevant field with more than five years of experience in the construction industry
• Knowledge of and experience in the Critical Path Method concepts using planning software such as Microsoft Project and Primavera P6
• Technical knowledge of delay analysis methods to prepare or analyze delays, an asset
• Technical knowledge of construction cost controls
• A high level of expertise in Microsoft Excel
• A good knowledge of cost control practices and analysis in the field of construction
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, an asset
• Knowledge of dispute resolution methods in Canada and Quebec, including mediation, arbitration and alternative approaches, an asset
• An excellent command of English
• French, an asset
