Customer Support Agent
Internal job title: Review Agent
Full Time Permanent
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
As a Review Agent, you will play a critical role in achieving the mission of the MCC.
In support of the MCC examinations, you will be a key player in reviewing and processing various types of documentation, including applications to determine eligibility of candidates. In addition, you will provide timely follow-up communication with candidates and other stakeholders, and always ensure excellent quality of data. As a Review Agent, you play an important role in MCC operations.
What you’ll do
- Review and analyze documents submitted for source verification and exam eligibility
- Make decisions regarding medical credentials, translation requests, other support documents and exam eligibility
- Follow up with candidates and external stakeholders where documents do not meet MCC’s criteria
- Document and report candidate specific information
- Identify complex issues/cases and perform research, gather information, documents and formulate recommendations to be reviewed in accordance with the team’s escalation process
- Send reviewed documents to external stakeholders for source verification
- Maintain data and document integrity; assuring superior quality of such data, information and correspondence.
- Scan medical credential and other supporting documents
- Triage scanned documents to determine whether further action is required
- Include pertinent notes about the physical document that may not appear in the scan (embossed seals)
What you need to succeed
Experience:
- 2-3 years’ experience providing customer service, preferably in an office environment
Technical Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel and the ability to learn and work with internal database systems
- Proficiency using the internet to retrieve information quickly
Competencies:
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to conduct research and to elicit pertinent information from clients
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and to be tactful and discrete
Education:
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
Language:
- Fluently bilingual with excellent oral, and written skills in both English and French
