The Client Connect (CC) team is a collection of Pods within the Client Experience Office (CXO) who are responsible for helping our clients achieve lifetime financial security and well-being through proactively providing personalized, useful and actionable information. This team has become a leading digital client engagement platform that is fueling the velocity of the Sun Life Canadian business units.

Reporting to the Scrum Master and working alongside an agile marketing team within the Client Experience Office, the Business Testing Specialist is responsible for providing professional and structured testing services which embrace innovative tools and techniques, while enhancing marketing deliverables to exceed client expectations. Please note this is a 12-month contract opportunity.

What will you do?

• Execute testing and validation of marketing campaigns through our secure website, mobile app, email and call centre channels for both the production and test environments

• Translate requirements into testing data needs from various application source systems

• Update test data attributes in the appropriate database using SQL statements

• Deliver quality testing artifacts and activities in the Agile pod, including estimates, test scenarios, test cases, test execution/validation, defect management and reporting, and test reports

• Search or mine for test data in the application source systems

• Create and maintain regression models and training documentation

• Partner with Sun Life’s TCoE (Testing Center of Excellence) to ensure alignment of practices and guidelines

What do you need to succeed?

• 3 years of test lead experience on small to medium projects in multi-web browser test environments and multi-mobile device testing for apps

• Knowledge and experience in database and data mining using simple SQL statements, and data models

• Experience with digital deployment tools such as SAS and Adobe Campaign

• Familiar with the creation and execution of test cases (regression, web, email etc.)

• Strong and proactive communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to adapt to competing demands, frequent change, delays or unexpected events with a natural sense of urgency and drive to reach goals with high efficiency

• Experience with Jira and Wrike

• Knowledge and experience in Agile methodologies

• Knowledge and experience in mobile testing tools such as Mobile Center or equivalent

• CSTE certification or plans to work towards a designation

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
