What is the opportunity?
The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in Winnipeg is seeking an Associate to provide marketing and communications support to a highly experienced Advisory Team. In addition to marketing development, the role will also provide quality client service and help deepen relationships with existing clients through ongoing, efficient support to both clients and the Advisor Team.
This is an in-office role.
What will you do?
The successful candidate will support the Advisory team in shaping and expanding upon their overall marketing and communications strategy, working on key initiatives like:
- website/social media updating/operations
- general communications like updating written marketing documents and incorporating video & audio more effectively
- managing relationships with partners
- business development tracking
- event planning
In addition to building a marketing and communications strategy, the candidate will also be responsible learning the administrative aspect of the business to assist the team with overflow and general operations, such as:
- Respond to client inquiries (account transactions, requests for tax receipts, account reporting, etc.).
- Assist the Advisor team with client onboarding.
- Help manage incoming communications from clients, Advisors and other internal and external partners.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates of all necessary documentation in compliance with internal controls and industry regulatory requirements. Maintain complete and up-to-date client files within appropriate systems.
- Follow up on client trades to ensure proper settlement and delivery
- Support Advisor team and client through the Wealth Management process and maintain audit of Wealth Management Activities and priorities.
- Ticket and expense tracking
- Special projects
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- University degree with a major in business, marketing or communications, or Marketing/Communications program graduate
- Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English
- Demonstrated digital fluency in Microsoft Office applications and social media
- Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients
- High level of time management and organization skills
- Ability to work in a close, shared team office environment with a positive attitude
- Capable self-starter/researcher on assigned projects/initiatives
Nice-to-have
- Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures
- Experience in the securities industry is an asset
