Objective of Role:
LaSalle Canada is seeking a 2023 Summer Intern Analyst to join its Toronto office. The Analyst will primarily support the Asset Management group but will benefit from additional projects and interaction with the Acquisitions and Research & Strategy teams. The Asset Management business is responsible for identifying and implementing value-add opportunities in assets under management. The role will focus on supporting the Asset Management team in the management and oversight of LaSalle Canada’s core open-end and value-add closed-end funds. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and understanding of commercial real estate, financial, economic, and statistical concepts. A demonstrated interest in real estate, private equity, finance, and investment management are necessary. The Analyst can expect to work simultaneously with different members of the team on various projects.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program from a leading school in Business/Commerce, Economics, or Real Estate (preference will be given to candidates entering their final year of study), with a strong record of academic achievement.
Demonstrable ability to self-motivate and deliver results.
Able to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize as required to meet expectations.
Demonstrated interest in commercial real estate, investment management, private equity, finance, etc.
Working knowledge of economic and financial concepts and their application to commercial real estate and investment management.
Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical (financial and accounting), and research skills are required.
Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good numeracy and computer skills including MS Excel.
Basic knowledge of Argus would be beneficial but not necessary
