SkyCare is currently seeking motivated, energetic, and dedicated Advance Care Flight Paramedics to join our team. We have vacancies for Full-Time and Part-Time Contract ACP(F) paramedics who are currently ORNGE Base Hospital certified or have a current ACP(F) license. SkyCare provide ACP(F) services from both our Thunder Bay and Kitchener bases.

About SkyCare

SkyCare provides Air Ambulance services to the Province of Ontario through a Standing Offer Agreement managed by ORNGE. Our flight crews provide 24-hour coverage, 365 days a year.

SkyCare conducts Primary Care, Advanced Care, and Specialty Team transports (CHEO, NICU, ECMO, etc.). Our Metro aircraft are among the largest and most capable Air Ambulance platforms in the provincial system, with the ability to provide bariatric and emergent team transport capabilities. SkyCare also utilizes a Westwind Jet Medevac platform that has the best-in-class range, allowing for non-stop transcontinental flights, making it a great tool for long-haul transfers. Along with provincial flights, SkyCare has a private repatriation stretcher service that can move patients internationally from destinations in North America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. SkyCare currently operates 7 medevac aircraft from 3 bases in Ontario: Kitchener, Thunder Bay, and Sioux Lookout.

ACP(F) Job Responsibilities (not inclusive):

· Pre-Flight check of the aircraft

· Communicating with ORNGE dispatch and ORNGE Transport Medical Physician

· Work alongside Primary Care Paramedics (F)

· Providing care to patients onboard the aircraft, in compliance with the ORNGE medical directives, ALS, and all other governing laws.

· Post-Flight Checks—cleaning, organizing, and restocking the aircraft, etc.

· Deep cleans of the patient care area and equipment.

Position Requirements:

· Advanced Care Paramedic Graduate Certificate

· MOHLTC Advanced Care Paramedic Certificate

· Advanced Emergency Care Assistant (A‐EMCA) certificate

· ORNGE Aeromedical Theory Course

· MOHLTC Aeromedical certificate

· Valid CPR BLS (HCP)

· Valid First Aid

· Birth Certificate

· Passport

· F Class Driver’s License

· Drivers Abstract

· Ability to pass Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector

· Immunization records

· Free from communicable disease as per the Communicable Disease Standard (Self‐Declaration)

· Copy of your post‐secondary schooling/transcripts or Diploma

· Valid N95 Mask Fit Testing (if you do not have this, we can test you once hired)

· Two passport photos (for OASIS submission)

· OASIS Card application

Availability:

Accommodation: Provided at SkyCare crew houses.

Travel: Provided by SkyCare (from the closest major Canadian airport to Thunder Bay)

Salary:

• 700$/day with an annual increase
• 100$/air time hours (current average of 4.2 airtime hours/day)
• Northern Living Bonus – For YQT-based medics a 100$/day stipend is added for individuals who do not require travel and accommodation.
