JOB TITLE: Accounting Assistant | #1682
SERVICE AREA: Head Office
LOCATION: Richmond (Remote Work)
START DATE: TBD (To be determined)
TERM/STATUS: Permanent Full Time
SCHEDULE/HRS: Monday to Friday 8:00-16:00 // 37.5 hours per week
HOURLY WAGE: $22.92 – $24.13 as per collective agreement

THE ROLE: This position provides effective clerical and accounting support to the Finance Department through efficient, accurate, and timely processing of accounting data.

Requirements:

  • Enrollment in post-secondary program related to Accounting or Business Administration is an asset.
  • Accurate and efficient filing and data entry skills.
  • Prior experience processing Accounts Payable and performing administrative tasks preferred.
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven analytical skills and communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Ability to work under pressure, and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Criminal Record Clearance
  • Medical Clearance
  • Demonstrated competency in English
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Eligible to work in Canada
